Laser Microsurgery & Trimming
Laser systems are used in a variety of semiconductor applications ranging from failure analysis to product production and process repairs. Most work is performed on a semiconductor circuit and includes isolating devices within a circuit, removing top-layer metal and passivation, resistance trimming, flat panel display repair, micromachining, testing detectors and making chrome and ITO cuts. For IR (1064 nm), Green (532 nm) and UV (355 and 256 nm) applications, a laser-ready compound microscope and the appropriate objectives are required.
